Our prices include all books and training materials, DSA test fees (first attempt only), colour lesson plans as well as the fee for the DIAmond Advanced Driving Test.
We offer easy payment terms for each of the three stages involved in gaining your instructors licence. Our prices are fully inclusive - what you see is what you pay.
Many training establishments will expect you to pay all of your fees upfront. At Frisby we ask that you pay for each stage as you begin your training.

Before you commit yourself to any expense with other trainers, be sure to clarify exactly what is included in the price (is VAT included?) and ask what other costs you will incurr - training materials, books etc? DSA test fees and training materials will cost you approximately £300 - all these are included in our price.

Our courses are flexible and can be tailored to fit around your existing commitments so that you do not have to leave your present job.
Every step of your course will be carefully planned and monitored by our team of Instructors, all of whom are fully qualified and DSA approved.
The total cost of your structured training program, following a successful assessment, will be £1700.00 which is divided into three parts as set out below - your only other expense * will be the DSA fees for entry to the Register of Approved Driving Instructors once qualified.

INITIAL ASSESSMENT:

We offer an introductory meeting at our office, where you will have the opportunity to discuss the training program and ask any other questions which you may have. There will be a short assessment on each of the 3 elements of becoming a Driving Instructor.
Your training will then continue as follows:

PART ONE: 10 hours of in class Theory Training with your Instructor.

It will cover all of the relevant aspects needed to pass the DSA Driving Instructor Theory test - multiple choice and Hazard Perception. You will be required to do some home study for this part.
The price includes your ADI starter pack, all necessary books and the cost of the DSA Theory Test (one attempt only) as well as your application fee for entry to the DSA register.

PART TWO: 15 hours of Driver Training (personal driving ability)

|
For this part you will be trained to a high standard of driving to give you the skills necessary to pass the DSA test of Driving Ability. Training can be carried out in your own car or a school car maybe provided if you prefer. Before you take your driving test, we will arrange for you to attempt the DIAmond Advanced Driving Test. The fee for this as well as all books, the DSA test (one attempt) and all necessary training materials is included in the price.

PART THREE: 20 Hours of Instructional Tuition.

This section is the test of Instructional ability. Your Instructor will take you through every aspect of teaching someone to drive using the DSA's methods and in-car training plans. This will include classroom and in-car training where you will get to put your teaching skills into practice. .
The price includes your test fee (one attempt) as well as colour lesson plans which you can use for your test and, once qualified, for future driving lessons.
* In the event that you have to retake any exam, you will be responsible for the DSA test fee. Any additional training will be charged at £20.00 per hour.
Following successful qualification, we will be happy to offer you a position within our rapidly expanding company. You are, of course, under no obligation and once fully qualified are free to work wherever you wish. |
