Frisby Motorcycle Training Run CBT Courses Weekdays and Weekends

It is a legal requirement for all provisional licence holders to complete CBT to validate their licence. The certificate issued (DL196) is valid for 2 years.
This is a basic training day consisting of 'off road' and 'on road' elements. It is not a test, although the main aim of CBT is to improve road safety through structured training.
We have to make sure that everyone who wants to use the road is going to be safe and will not put themselves or others at risk. We can only issue a CBT certificate when we are happy that this criteria has been met.
Before attending CBT we therefore strongly advise that you have a basic knowledge of road signs and procedures and just a few hours reading 'The Highway Code' will give you a great head start.
Age 16
You may complete your CBT on a motorcycle not exceeding 50cc.
Age 17 or over.
You may complete your CBT on any motorcycle up to 125cc.
Frisby Motorcycle include free bike hire for all training courses. If you want to use your own motorcycle for training it must be roadworthy and have the necessary legal documentation (tax, insurance, mot, 'L' plates). You will also need to arrange transportation of the bike to the CBT site.
Checklist for CBT day.
  • Driving Licence (you MUST bring both parts if you have a photocard licence)
  • Safety Helmet Gloves Boots or strong shoes
  • Warm/waterproof jacket
  • Lunch and a drink

PLEASE NOTE.
If you do not bring both parts of your Licence we are not legally allowed to conduct CBT. You will lose your fee and have to rebook.
